Manchester City sign Croatian teen Ante Palaversa and loan him back to Hajduk Split
Manchester City have finalised the deadline day signing of 18-year-old Ante Palaversa from Hajduk Split, and have immediately loaned the midfielder back to the Croatian club.The youngster completed his medical in Manchester this week and has joined the reigning Premier League champions in a deal worth a reported 7million.Hajduk announced the move on Thursday afternoon and confirmed Palaversa will return to them on loan until the end of the 2019-20 season.However, City have the option to recall him next January.The Croatia Under-19 captain is happy to stay with his boyhood club ahead of linking up with “one of the biggest clubs in the world”.“Thanks to Manchester City for the trust,” he said in a statement on Hajduk’s website. “There is still a lot of work ahead of meI have not yet shown all I can and I hope to play for Hajduk to justify the great trust I have received from England’s champions.”
