Wilfried Zaha to leave Crystal Palace? Simon Jordan says it’s time to go, but ‘he’s not worth 80million
Simon Jordan has told Crystal Palace to cash in on star man Wilfried Zaha this summer, and believes 60million would be a fair price for the Ivory Coast forward.According to reports on Thursday, Zaha is keen to play Champions League football and has told the club he wants to leave Selhurst Park.Zaha has again been one of the Eagles outstanding players this season, as the London club finished 12th in the Premier League.Wilfried Zaha led Crystal Palace to a thrilling 3-2 victory over Arsenal back in AprilGetty2

Palace managed to keep their talisman last summer despite a lot of interest and tied him down to a new 130,000-a-week, five-year contract. That reportedly means Palace will put a 80million price tag on Zaha this summer, as they aim to get every penny they can for their top man.But Jordan believes 60m is a more realistic price, saying the forward is every bit of good as Manchester City ace Riyad Mahrez who cost 60m from Leicester City and that he is good enough to play for any of the top-six clubs. Without wanting to alienate myself from a group of fans I adore, I think now is the time for Zaha to go, the former Eagles chief told talkSPORT host Jim White.I think Palace need a change of direction and probably need to be able to rebuild with the right amount of monies being achieved for Zaha. Now, I dont think that right amount of monies is likely to be 80m, but I certainly think its in the 50m or 60m bracket and I think he can play for any of the top six clubs.I think hes a 60m player – I think hes every bit as good as Mahrez. He hasnt played in sides quite as fashionable, because Leicester won the league when Mahrez was in his pomp and now he is at Manchester City, while Wilfried has played at Crystal Palace.Zaha is a key player for Palace, but the Ivory Coast international has big ambitions to play in the Champions LeagueGETTY2

So Im not surprised now Wilf wants the opportunity to ply his trade someone else. When he signed a contract, my mind-set was that its merely Crystal Palace maintaining the value and negotiation for in a years time.If theyve got Wilfried on a four or five year contract there can be no leverage that any football club can put on them to be able to get this player for a fraction of his worth. So Im not surprised we are now at the point where Wilfried is making his intentions very clear.
