Inter director Guiseppe Marotta toldSky in Italy: “Perisic has asked to leave but there is no offer for him. We will see in the coming days.“We will listen to the request of Perisic, he has put in a transfer request; we must try to satisfy him but also respect the value of him.”The player made no secret of a desire to play in the Premier League and was linked with a move to Manchester United during the summer. However, it now looks as though the winger could be on his way to the Emirates, with Unai Emery keen to reinforce his attack as his side look to mount a top four surge in the final half of the season.Emery has said the club can only make loan signings, and it is understood Perisic would join on a temporary basis until the end of the season. Arsenal would have an option to buy him outright in the summer for 34.5m, according to Sky Sports. Earlier this week, Inter boss Luciano Spaletti claimed it was obvious any big club would want Perisic but added his player must focus on his current job.In a press conference, Spalletti said: “Perisic is a very good player, of course there’s rumours about him during the transfer window.“If a player is good, it’s obvious that every club would want him. Of course, then the figures must be adequate for things to go through.2He knows his job and he also knows that we expect him to keep working just like he has done so far.Perisic joined Inter from Wolfsburg in 2015 and has also represented Brugge and Borussia Dortmund. He starred for Croatia throughout last summer’s World Cup, and scored the equaliser against England in the semi-final, before setting up Mario Mandzukic for the winner.Arsenal have also been linked with Barcelona’s midfielder Denis Suarez and Paris-Saint Germain youngster Christopher Nkunku. But they need to get their business done swiftly with the transfer deadline approaching on Thursday.
